Elite Repeat

Filed under: Resale Shops — Jana @ 2:56 pm

Elite Repeat is one of the cleanest and neatest thrift stores I’ve ever seen.  All the items were high quality and cleaned, pressed, and displayed attractively.  When I was in the store, I found glass dishes, a Singer sewing machine, porcelain dolls, books, jeans, linens, and clothing for the whole family.  All the merchandise was reasonably priced, and there were many bargains to be found.  I am told that the merchandise changes rapidly, so if you don’t find what you need, check back often.  You never know what kind of bargains you’ll find.  You can visit Elite Repeat at 711 S. Main, Stillwater, OK, or visit their web site.

Persimmon Hill Farm

Filed under: Food and Drink — Jana @ 2:54 pm

Today, I took a tour of the Persimmon Hill Farm booth at the Stillwater Farmer’s Market. I found jams and jellies of all sorts and quick and yeast breads both sweet and savory. I’ve heard that if you’re lucky, you can get a scrumptious homemade pie. I can attest that the cinnamon rolls will satisfy any sweet tooth, and the jalapeno cheddar bread is mouth- watering, but not eye-watering. For those of us who like to sample multiple kinds of bread, small loaves are available for $1.50. Shonna Richardson, proprietor, says that tastes seem to differ day by day, but challah bread and pepperoni cheese roll are consistent favorites. Persimmon Hill Farm goodies feature many ingredients grown on their farm in Stillwater, OK, and no preservatives. You can visit Shonna and family at the Stillwater Farmer’s Market, which is in Strickland Park. The outdoor market is open Wednesday and Saturday mornings in the summer.
